Operation Pirate’s Prize Hunt

On the 21st of February 2956, a special event was launched by Citizen Sovi_Reign, a bold and unconventional scraping and salvaging operation, venturing into one of the most dangerous and active regions of the Pyro system. Traditionally, salvagers operate in safer regions or accept recovery contracts to retrieve ships from unfortunate pilots. However, these contracts often yield modest returns, and random finds in open space are often too rare.

The solution was straightforward: go where wrecks are guaranteed to appear, like High-traffic conflict zones, which always attract heavily armoured ships and frequent engagements. The Executive Hangars in Pyro are one such hotspot, where honest groups and more nefarious factions regularly clash, leaving behind a large amount of abandoned or disabled vessels.

Normally, pirates often return to these locations to strip their prey. The operation turned that logic around: arrive first. Remove cargo, extract valuable components and weapons, then strip and process the hull into construction materials, leaving nothing behind for those pirates.

Of course, such an undertaking required careful planning. Simply entering the area would risk becoming salvage oneself. Instead, the fleet established a secure salvage zone approximately 200 clicks away from the target location. An Argo SRV, supported by a security escort, was deployed to locate derelict ships and tow them safely back to the salvage perimeter. Fleet positioning also took advantage of Pyro’s sun, using it as visual cover to minimise detection and overflight risk.

The results spoke for themselves. While security forces encountered minor combat, the Argo SRV and salvage vessels completed their work largely undisturbed. In total, 200 SCU of RMC and CM were recovered, alongside a significant number of valuable ship components.

Although the new Argo Moth experienced some technical difficulties, the operational pairing of the Argo SRV with dedicated salvage ships proved highly effective. The ability to extract ships from high-risk zones dramatically increased efficiency and safety.

A commendable success, and with more operations of this type already announced, we look forward to seeing similar initiatives in the near future.

USC Combat Training – Conquest / Attack & Defend

With increasing encounters involving thugs, gangs, and pirates, the USC recognised the need to strengthen combat readiness, particularly in ground engagements.

To address this, Director Mackson of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) organised a structured combat training exercise. The concept was simple yet effective: two teams would compete over control of a derelict outpost in Pyro, each assigned rotating objectives such as extracting key items or defending the location for a set duration.

The primary goal was to simulate realistic ground combat scenarios in which reinforcements might not arrive quickly. Participants had to rely on limited resources and teamwork. Each team operated with an Apollo-class medical ship serving as its headquarters and medical support station.

The exercise commenced on the 22nd of February, launching from Gaslight Station toward the designated outpost. Deployment proceeded without major complications, and both teams completed multiple training scenarios as planned.

Some technical challenges did arise, including system lag and restricted access to ship inventories and medical facilities, likely caused by environmental strain and system overload. Despite these setbacks, the training achieved its objectives.

Overall, the operation proved highly valuable. Participants gained practical experience under controlled but demanding conditions. More training exercises of this nature, both ground and space-based, are anticipated, as preparedness remains essential in an increasingly volatile environment.

USC Levski Alliance Aid Operations

While Senate discussions regarding closer ties with the People’s Alliance continued, USC citizens were already taking action on the ground.

Since January and throughout February, numerous USC members have assisted the people of Levski during the ongoing Molina Mold crisis. The crisis has caused significant hardship, including fatalities and widespread instability within the already strained People’s Alliance.

Preliminary investigations suggest that defective ventilation filters supplied by Gysons Inc. may be responsible. The company has a history of quality control failures. However, alternative theories point to possible deliberate interference by unknown actors, a matter further explored in a separate Citizen Compass report.

In response, the People’s Alliance and the UEE jointly established the Alliance Aid organisation. Its mission: oversee the distribution of replacement filters and medical supplies, coordinate the transport of affected individuals, and ensure mold samples are delivered for further analysis and remedy development.

USC citizens responded in force. Volunteers transported supplies, escorted vulnerable shipments, recovered stranded vessels, and defended relief efforts against pirate interference. Large coordinated operations enabled dozens of participants to complete multiple missions simultaneously, maximising overall impact.

Special recognition goes to those organising large-scale mining operations. The surplus resources they gathered were distributed among USC members to ensure consistent logistical support for the relief effort.

The outcome was overwhelmingly positive. Every USC participant met or exceeded their assigned objectives, a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved through unity and cooperation.

USC Senate Discussions on an Alliance with Levski

As is customary at the beginning of each month, the USC Senate opened a new discussion topic. This time, the focus shifted from internal legislation to foreign policy, specifically, the question of forming a formal alliance with the People’s Alliance of Levski.

The concept of an alliance has circulated for some time. Diplomatic relations between the USC and Peoples Alliance have remained cordial, and both organisations share similar ideological positions, particularly in relation to the UEE.

However, given the ongoing instability in the Nyx system, debate within the Senate proved more intense than anticipated. Some Senators expressed concern about the long-term reliability of the People’s Alliance, warning that closer ties could risk entanglement in potential conflicts with the UEE.

Others questioned the sustainability of Levski’s political structure altogether.

Despite these concerns, the majority favoured a measured and strategic approach. Rather than committing immediately to a full alliance, they proposed beginning with a mutual non-aggression pact accompanied by a limited military cooperation treaty. The rationale was clear: build trust through smaller, structured agreements before progressing to more binding commitments.

This proposal ultimately secured majority approval. While support for a comprehensive alliance remains strong among some Senators, consensus favoured gradual integration over immediate alignment.

The USC Diplomatic Corps is now tasked with advancing these agreements, and we look forward to updates as negotiations progress.

The United Space Confederation (USC) was conceived as an organization that would offer something for everyone, set in an environment that maintained fun game play experiences as the top priority. In keeping with the very high standards that Star Citizen has already set, the founders of the USC set out to create an in-game faction that would integrate well into the established universe, while maintaining its own style and theme as well as allowing its Citizens the freedom to immerse themselves in the game however they wished.
