Despite some unexpected turret malfunctions, the recent Ministry of Intelligence & Exploration (MIE) expedition proved to be a resounding success.

The journey began at Port Tressler, where the USCS Astraios and USCS Dauntless departed together, first making their way to one of MicroTech’s breathtaking rivers to replenish their water supplies. Crews took the opportunity to enjoy the planet’s stunning vistas and tranquil landscapes before resuming their voyage.

It was during this leg of the journey that the expedition encountered technical issues — a complete failure of the defense turrets aboard both vessels. While shields remained active, the malfunction required emergency repairs during transit to the Pyro Gateway before the expedition could safely continue.

Once fully operational again, both ships entered the Pyro system, where crews were treated to awe-inspiring planetary views and the unique thrill of venturing deep into uncharted and volatile space. The expedition conducted several surface landings at outposts across Pyro, assisting locals affected by gang activity and gathering valuable data for ongoing intelligence operations.

All in all, the expedition successfully combined exploration, assistance, and adventure, providing both excitement and valuable insights for the MIE. We can only hope the ministry will soon organize another expedition—and bring even more opportunities for discovery and camaraderie among its brave crews.
