Drake Interplanetary probably has one of the worst reputations in the verse. Pirate ships. Cheap junk. Tin cans held together with ambition and duct tape. That’s the shorthand, and it follows Drake everywhere: from the Magnus shipyards to the shadier corners of Grim HEX, from UEE Navy briefings to landing pad small talk across the empire. The caricature is vivid, it’s consistent, and it’s been decades in the making. It’s also, depending on who you ask, not the whole story. Because underneath the hanging wires, the missing panels and the analogue controls rattling on the way out of atmo, there’s… Read more →

The closing weeks of April have been busy for the USC fleets. Across multiple operations, commanders and crew alike have been tested on everything from large-scale naval coordination to post-combat salvage logistics and community crafting initiatives. These efforts are laying the groundwork for even more ambitious endeavours in the weeks ahead. Here are the highlights. USC Navy Exercises In previous exercises, USC Navy training had focused on single-carrier operations — building fleet elements around a single Aegis Idris-class frigate, using it as the backbone for a fighter wing and its support. This latest exercise took a considerably larger step, shifting… Read more →

“…[Radio Static]…. Pirates boarding the ship…[Radio Static]…Object found and we fear pirates will seize…[Radio Static]…Request assistance…[Radio Static].” This was the last transmission received from the USCS Black Horizon, a Carrack-class exploration vessel that had been conducting a deep undercover, classified Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) mission in the Pyro system. The vessel had been tasked with scouring the Pyro system over the course of several days — if not weeks — in search of specific objects to be returned to headquarters. Contact was intentionally limited, though at scheduled intervals, status reports were relayed back to ONI to confirm the Black… Read more →

Operation Dark Echo was, by all accounts, a resounding success. However, the methods by which it achieved its goals remain deeply questionable. A large number of bombs were dropped throughout the operation, destroying ancient natural sandcaves and obliterating an entire outpost on Pyro IV. While some initial explanation had been offered in our first interview, key details still felt incomplete — and so we investigated further, posing questions in the Senate Halls of the USC to get to the bottom of these controversial methods. The questions were directed at Director Macksons and his aide Robin “Skarv” Krosfjord, focusing primarily on… Read more →

They drift in the dark between asteroids, silent and hollow — relics of an age most have forgotten. To the untrained eye, they are little more than ruins. But to those who know where to look, the QV Stations tell a story that stretches back centuries. A story of ambition, collapse, refuge, and slow decay. Welcome to Citizen Lore, where we dive into the history of the verse. Today we explore the QV Stations of Nyx — where they came from, what they made possible, and how, centuries later, they are still shaping the system around them. QV PLANET SERVICES… Read more →

“I Was Simply Redistributing Resources” Says Former Director By The Citizen Compass Editorial Desk — 1 April In a development that has left the United Space Confederation reeling — and frankly, not entirely surprised — Director Mackson of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) has tendered his resignation this morning following an internal audit that uncovered what investigators are calling “a breathtaking misappropriation of ministry funds.” The audit, which was triggered by months of mounting questions surrounding the ONI, revealed that a significant portion of the ministry’s operational budget had been quietly redirected into what sources describe as “a suspiciously… Read more →

The weekend of Friday 27th to Sunday 29th of May 2956 was one of the busiest in the United Space Confederation (USC) in recent weeks. Here is how it all unfolded : The Search for blueprints The recent arrival of Item fabricators into the USC Hangars has changed everything. On Sunday, the 22 of March 2956, the Daymar Mile of Mayhem got underway as four organisations divided into 11 teams competed on the first leg of the Daymar Rally route between Shubin SCD-1 and Eager Flats. It was a treacherous Rally, and although it represented only one fifth of the full Daymar Rally course, the route was packed with obstacles like Canyons, hills and a formidable mountain range that stood between the drivers and the finish line. Raw speed alone wouldn´t be enough here; victory would go to the team that found the smartest path. Conception of the Race… Read more →
